# Recent Posts — Post Controls & Editing
* **Public post controls**
* Recent posts support the same applicable public controls as posts on boards and threads: **R** Report, **D** Delete, **E** Edit, and **F** Delete file.
* Normal ownership, password, board-setting, edit-window, file, and thread-deletion rules apply.
* **Editing cleanup**
* Posts can be edited directly from Recent using the inline Edit interface.
* Removed the obsolete standalone Edit page; legacy Edit links now return to the canonical post and use the existing inline editing workflow.
* **Remote edit notifications**
* When a visible Recent post is edited elsewhere, Recent shows **Post Updated: Refresh**.
* The reader chooses when to refresh the changed post.
* Posts edited directly from Recent refresh normally after the edit succeeds.
* Refreshing an edited post preserves its feed position and Watcher/read state.
* **File deletion synchronization**
* Deleting a file from a thread updates the corresponding post in already-open Recent pages.
* Deleting a file from Recent updates the corresponding post in already-open thread pages.
* The post remains in place while its deleted media is removed.

* Moderator post controls work directly from Recent with the correct board context for each post.
# Watcher & Unread State
* **Recent integration**
* Reading watched-thread replies in Recent advances Watcher seen state using the same viewed-post behavior as normal thread reading.
* Posts must actually be viewed; simply appearing in Recent does not mark them read.
* Unread gaps are preserved, so viewing a newer reply does not automatically mark older unseen replies as read.
* A user's own new reply stays read when the watched thread was already caught up.
* **Watcher navigation**
* Watcher thread-title links now open the normal thread at its **latest reply**.
* The specialized `[+50]` control retains its separate unread/latest behavior.
* **Browser titles**
* Thread browser-tab titles now use a simple unread prefix such as `(5) Thread title`.
* Watcher row counts retain their existing unread/total presentation.
# Posting & Live Updates
* **`+50` live updates**
* Partial `+50` thread views now track the newest reply they have reached so older historical replies cannot be mistaken for newly posted replies after deletions.
* Genuine new replies continue to appear normally.
* Full thread views retain their normal update behavior.
* **Posting retry reliability**
* Posting now recovers cleanly from stale submission-token errors.
* The next intentional retry receives a fresh submission identity while preserving the user's draft and selected file.

# Editing

* Submitting Edit without changing the post no longer marks it as edited.
* No-op edits avoid unnecessary writes, rebuilds, edit notices, and moderation-log entries.

# Deletion & Cross-Tab Synchronization
* **Delete and Ban & Delete**
* Deleted replies and threads disappear immediately from the live page after successful Delete or **Ban & Delete** actions.
* Deletion state stays synchronized across board indexes, thread pages, Recent Posts, and other open Ponychan tabs.
* Deleting an entire thread removes all visible Recent entries belonging to that thread.
* Backlinks and post previews reconcile after deletions.
* Bulk and delete-by-IP actions participate in the same live cleanup behavior.
* **File-only deletion**
* File deletion synchronizes separately from full post deletion.

# Moderation & Ban System
* **Explicit ban scope**
* Ban and **Ban & Delete** require moderators to explicitly select **all boards** or a specific board.
* The server validates the selected scope and staff permissions.
* Board-limited moderators cannot issue global bans.
* **Upload bans**
* **Image ban** has been renamed **Upload ban** to reflect that the restriction applies to file uploads generally.
* **Propagating prohibited-file bans**
