>>28003 well it's a mixed bag. On the bright side she doesn't appear to have doggy dementia or glaucoma. But her cataracts have solidified and now she's completely blind, aside from being able to detect light. She's also fully deaf. But she can navigate using feel and smell surprisingly well. And we're looking into getting her cataract surgery. She had a very rough day.

I think as long as her nose works, she'll be alright. Though moving to a new place might be bad timing for her, will be tough for her to map the new place when she can pretty much not see anymore.

I'm having some coffee as well. just woke up and had dinner, and I'll be heading out driving in a bit.
Munchkin's evaluation went relatively well; there's nothing outward preventing her from going through the surgery. That said, one eye appears to be much more advanced than the other and may not fare as well as the other; not sure if we're doing both as of now. We go back on Wednesday for tests to see if her eyes are ok on the inside.

just pasta, sour cream, and cottage cheese. typically with added bacon, but I was lazy this evening.
Well, the most likely thing to go wrong, if something goes wrong, will just end up with her losing one or both eyes, which is really not much worse than it is now. For all the things wrong with her, her heart is in excellent shape, so I'm not too worried about complications during surgery itself.
