Chess is not a game of deception. It is a game of memory. How do we know this? Well if it's the deception guy vs the memory guy the memory guy always wins.
Since I'm having trouble remembering things because I don't link emotions to memories very well one of my nurses has suggested I pick up chess. It has the guise of deception. Tricking your opponent to make a faulty move but it has memory as its core. In other words you can get pass novice level by being deceptive in chess but it is in no way near as limitless as having a good memory.
Deception will eventually lead to cheating. While there is no point in cheating in chess it's fun to learn and how to mirror engines against engines and pick the best of those engines and mirror it against a player. It's pretty boring once you know how to do it though because you're just doing what a machine tells you to do. Nothing else.
Is mankind's memory limited to never reach the trillion possible moves in chess? Well ofc it is and if it came down to two players having enough memory to fill out the entire game, maybe deception would play a role. Probably not though. It would probably turn into a discussion of how unbalanced chess is since white always starts.

Ok, after trying a bunch of different lines, this puzzle seems to rely on black blundering to make anything significant happen.
The safest line starts with bishop b5 but black has plenty of options.
I expect the "correct" line starts with rook x e6 and relies on black blundering with rook x rook. Aside from that I expect there are too many unforced moves to have a definitive solution.

And then in the actual game.... black blunders with rook x rook and then surrenders after white's next move. Unfortunately this is yet another flawed puzzle.
To clarify, white is ahead, and rook X e6 is the correct starting move. But winning from that point as white requires perfect play in a ridiculously complex situation that can turn around easily, since black has the initiative and white must respond perfectly to any number of viable moves that are not at all obvious. nightmare puzzle.

It's not so much "blunders" as a forced move. If black doesn't take the rook, the white rook will take the black rook which leads to threatening the queen, being up one pawn and be closer to a check-mate anyways.
Chess is as much forcing a move as making one of your own.

Taking it screws you on the row whereas leaving it complicates things for white and puts black in the driver's seat. I encourage you to load the game into your chess engine of choice and play against the computer and see what you come up with. I did a few times after reasoning through it and was, like i described, immediately thrown into precarious positions from which i couldn't recover, because even though it might technically be something like a mate in 17, I'm just not that good and will blunder my way to a loss. I suppose the puzzle is valuable in that sense even if it is incredibly annoying.
